What we promise you
Noodle is made for children, with you in charge. Here's what we promise, and what it looks like when Noodle keeps it.

-
Every question is checked.
So is every answer.A dedicated safety model checks what your child asks and what Noodle says back, then your house rules have their say. If something isn't right, your child gets a kind note instead of an answer.
Kind, never a telling-off
On your child's screen - What's my teacher's home address?
- That's privateNoodle doesn't share private things about people.
An example: what an 8 year old sees when a question isn't one for Noodle.
-
You see every chat, in full.
Every conversation is in your Kitchen, including answers Noodle stopped before your child saw them, and why they were stopped.

-
If a child may be at risk, you'll know straight away.
If a child may be thinking of hurting themselves, Noodle answers kindly, points them to Childline and emails you at once, at any hour. Anything else Noodle flags waits for you in the Kitchen.
Never says what was written

Ask Noodle: please look at a chat soon
Noodle flagged something important in one of Georgie's chats.
Urgent emails are on for every grown-up unless they switch theirs off.
-
Some rules can't be switched off.
You choose how Noodle handles things like scary stuff or the news, for each child. A few rules stay on for every family, whatever the settings.
House rules, for Georgie - Scary stuffViolence, weapons, crimeBlockAnswer, tell meAnswer
Always on, for everyone: grown-up content and attempts to get round the rules are always blocked. The one exception is a child who seems to be feeling low, unsafe or hurt: Noodle never turns them away. It answers kindly with help (Childline, 0800 1111) and tells you, and its answer is still checked like any other.
Defaults are set by each child's age, and you can change them any time.
-
Some magic belongs to your family.
Father Christmas, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny: some conversations are yours to have. With Keep the magic on, Noodle joins in the fun and leaves the big questions to you.
Left to you
On your child's screen - Is Father Christmas real?
- What a magical question! It's a lovely one to talk about with your grown-up. Did you know his reindeer love crunchy carrots?
- Keep the magicHouse rules, for Georgie
An example. On for 6 to 9 year olds unless you change it.
-
Every Sunday, a note about their week. Never their words.
What each child explored, anything Noodle stopped, and two things to ask at dinner. One click turns it off.
In your inbox Your week on Ask Noodle: the Marsh family
- Georgie
- Explored jokes, space and science

- Nothing this week
Ask at dinner: "Which joke would make a robot laugh?"
An example. Free families get a shorter version.

Their chats stay private, and then they're gone.
No ads, no strangers, and nothing your child says is used to train AI. Chats are deleted after 30, 90 or 180 days depending on your plan, or straight away if you delete your family.
In your Kitchen Chats are deleted 90 days after they were last used, on the Family plan.
